This Privacy Policy explains how Orbit ("Orbit," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit jobsorbit.org (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We keep data collection to what's actually needed to run the Site:

Contact form submissions. If you use the form on our Contact page, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide. This is sent directly to our inbox via email and is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties, except as described below.
Usage & analytics data. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — pages viewed, time on site, general location (city/country level), device and browser type, and referring site. This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you by name.
Cookies. The Site uses cookies set by Google Analytics and, where enabled, Google AdSense, to recognize repeat visits and serve relevant content and ads. See "Cookies & Advertising" below.
Job application clicks. When you click "Apply" on a job listing, we log that a click occurred (job title, company, and timestamp) to measure which listings are useful to visitors. You are then taken to the employer's own external site or application page, which has its own separate privacy policy.

We do not require account creation to browse or apply to jobs, and we do not collect resumes, ID documents, or payment information through the public Site.

2. How we use information

To respond to messages sent through the Contact form.
To understand which pages, tools, and job listings are useful, so we can improve the Site.
To keep the Site secure and prevent abuse (e.g. spam submissions).
To display relevant advertising through Google AdSense, where enabled.

3. Cookies & advertising

Like most websites, jobsorbit.org uses cookies — small text files stored on your device.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, via Google's gtag.js) help us understand traffic and site usage.
Advertising cookies (Google AdSense, where and when enabled) may be used by Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

Google Analytics — traffic and usage analytics.
Google AdSense — advertising (where enabled).
Gmail SMTP — used server-side to deliver Contact form submissions to our inbox; no third-party form/email marketing service is used.
External employer sites — when you click "Apply" on a listing, you leave jobsorbit.org and are subject to that employer's own privacy practices.

5. Data retention

Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings. Job listing click logs are used in aggregate and are not linked to any personal identifier.

6. Your choices

You can decline to submit the Contact form — nothing about browsing or applying to jobs requires it.
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
You can opt out of Google's personalized advertising via the link in Section 3.
To request that we delete a message you previously sent us, email thejoborbit@gmail.com.

7. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for job seekers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Site or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
